Diana Ross

I hade some friends visiting me last summer and we were driving in the city searching for a restaurant for dinner. After a silent moment (very unusual with finns) one of my friends asked me: "Who is that little young Indian boy in the picture above your tv?" I was puzzled first but replied it was Diana Ross. I can't believe my friends thought I had a picture of young Indian boy on my wall, and that they had talked about it and were worried about my state of mind. The picture is one of the best ones I've ever seen taken from an artist, take a look to see my point. Diana Ross was probably the first artist I ever learnt to recognize by name or from voice and I was between 4 or 5 years. Baby love and You can't hurry love were the first songs I remember, Reflections was BIG, Love hangover, I'm coming out and the long single version of Ain't no mountain high enough, duet with Marvin Stop look listen (to your heart). So so many good ones! Almost all the songs performed by her with and without The Supremes gave me goosepumbs and still do. No matter if they sound similar or the lyrics are simple and naive, there is just something that touches ma soul and brings smile on my face!

BTW: got to climb twice outside this weekend in a beautiful weather, must be a record! Fingertips are thin in skin and acheing - jippej!!!
