To pop or not?

I'm starting to get the hang of this one problem I'm working on (fingertoppskänsla=fingertip feeling). Today it certainly felt more painful than last time, propably because it was +8 degrees, which might be too warm for this problem. Still, it is such a nice and hard (for me) line that I want to do it, sooo if it involves pain  bring it on. Today's attempts resulted in a water blister on my forefinger. Snif, what should I do? Pop it with a needle? Let it be? My skin has to be in perfect shape on Saturday when I'm petting crimps in Ticino! If I pop it the risk of infection grows, but the healing process can start faster. I guess the skin that is on top of the blister is lost  and dead anyways, if I wait and the fluids absorb back to my body the skin is still lost. I'm lost. I'll pop it.

Blisters can be irritating to real climbers too, like my big blond Finnish friend Tatu who is climbing some bigger boulders in Chamonix. Today he'll try to free climb the west face of aguille du plan (direct). I'm keeping my fingers and blisters crossed that he will come back alive after a succesful climb. He is a hero, a real hero, he already saved one life couple weeks ago when he spotted a lonely ski on top of a crevasse and inside there was a French skier who had fallen 20 meters down. He got away with a broken hip, thanks to Tatuu and of course the rescue team.

Muziik... One of the best albums ever made... Astral Weeks by Van Morrison... Damn son, so good! The sweetest piece from it is this one:
