Evening session

Did a short evening session on Campusblocket again with a local fellow boulderinna. We worked a bit on Fingertopkänsla (stand) and I managed to do all the moves and linking it pretty far up. I'm excited to go back there, so nice to have projects 20 min drive away! Temperature went from +1 to -7 during the session and I was totally frozen in the end, but a little not so succesfull repetition attempt of campusproblem got me warm again:

What happened: I had my left foot on world's biggest foot hold, but still it slipped off and I fell right on to my rib from over 2 meters in a ditch. Luckily I had placed an extra pad there by accident so no broken ribs just couple of good laughs.

Song of the day, a summer breeze bringing some good memories!

Uno, dos, tres...

They have been active in The Capital of Scandinavia as well during the weekend. Here my tico friend Rymo, Rymona or just Raimo does one of the finest (so I've heard) in Stockholm. And no, those are not some fashionister trousers from Sthlm, they actually are long johns (Black Horse) that were bought from K-market in Åland Finland.

Believe it or not

It actually might be so that the outdoor season has started in Uppsala. Did a short visit to Focksta yesterday morning with my trusted spotter/crashpad and a dog. Approach was a struggle with snow until my knees, but it worked as a warm up so I can't really complain. When I got to the boulders I found out that they were all dry and topouts were snowless!!! Then the sun started to shine... no singing birds though. Day was crowned with a send of Medley (found a pic from it here) which is a nice crimpy little problem that I tried two years ago. I'm so motivated and excited that it is hard to stay still, I feel like a child and today the saga continues!

Second coming!

What a beautiful day! I'm so happy! This time icecubing felt great, the conditions were excellent, +1 C and there was a crust on top of the snow so Xcountryskiing fit perfectly as an approach method. Also.. I was lucky to skip the cleaning part, because boys were there before me, princess was happy once again... Next time I must take some bribes with me like cinnamon buns. Problem that we tried today was called En fråga om balans, I saw it already a while ago and definitely wanted to go back for it and try it... Two years later here we were :) I did all the moves pretty easily except the second and the last one which remained open, but I have a feeling that there will be revealed some new holds when the ice melts thoroughly.  Absolutely one of the best problems in Uppsala.

Finally season start!

Crispy day at Focksta and conditions were perfect, but I felt like 100 kg heavy and 70 years old granny. Still, so nice to touch rock again and supanice that there were so many people out there. I'll check with my trusted shutterbug if he got some nicer pics. Can't wait for the spring to come, so many problems to solve and just thinking about them makes me happy pee. I want more please!

Cooold....

Snow is here and minus degrees. I'm freezing, I do not like winter, I used to like it but not anymore, it just lasts tooo long. This is just the beginning; we have still about four months left... Hopeless and depressing. One treatment for it is to plan next year's road trips: Switzerland, South Africa, Norway, France, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Spain, Sweden or Finland? There is something behind The Atlantic as well. Maybe all? At least, it will be the first three and the last two in the list, maybe save the last one for a another year. Heello, I think my motivation for the winter just arrived.

Of course there are some inspiring people who defy nature. Actually, if you'd give the thought a chance you might end up enjoying it, or then time gilds my memories again and it wasn't really so nice to do icecubing. It feels so good afterwards, and this I'm sure I remember correct. Yes, let the minus degree temperature record be broken this year! I think my level is only -5 degrees, feeling a bit ashamed to admit it concidering of being a citizen of the Nordic countries.
