Here we go again

with crappy home videos. The music is good though.

Few words about the climbing in Dalarna: Only two hours drive from Uppsala, lots of blocks everywhere and the rock is gooood, real crimps without spikes in them. Loves! We only visited two areas and the second day was a shortie before it started to pour from the sky but definitely going back there and hopefully soon.

Oh yes, tickets to this autumns music events are booked. Two of my favorites are coming to town Bonobo and Bon Iver. Bon Iver's video is disturbingly made from one of my favorite childhood movies, all that I can remember from seeing this film is that it was so sad that I was crying haard like my friend having her monster pms and being dumped by the love of her life. I still can't watch it without a teardrop. Life can be hard, I know, last week was one of the hardest ones and all of it self made. To avoid this kind of heavy after math from the next Flow festival I might just go for disulfiram regimen the next time.

I started climbing again after a long rest. Of course the weather sucks and I still have an injury (wrist, or mostly the tendon that is connected to the ring finger) that hasn't been cured yet, so I've been climbing in controlled indoor conditions. I think I have time to fix my condition before the autumn season starts big time. This weekend some rock stars are coming to Västervik and trying the local projects. It is supposed to be sort of a Melloblocco kind of event... Should be nice, we'll see if am I able to climb or will I just be Andy's cheerleader. I am mostly waiting for the kräftskiva nearby supplied with good company. Skål!!

Cult of Luna

Thank you Sweden for Cult of Luna! The first time I heard them was in Helsinki about five years ago. I would say one of the best gigs ever, I was absolutely hypnotized and having shivers in my spine and I can still get the same feeling easily when listening to them. Works perfectly with this dark time of the year, like two minuses makes a plus. Brings also needed extra dose of positive energy to everyday life. And, they have a song called Finland. My favorite album is Salvation, which is more mainstream than the others, both videos from there and second one is long and beautiful :) Then an appetite whetter from Finland.

Summer memories II

This summer I got a visit from some Finns and we did some summer bouldering in the area of Västervik, Linköping and Uppsala. Maybe a bit too warm conditions, but I wasn't bothered, because I got to play with my good old buddies. A minor setback was when I accidentally stepped on a wasp nest, I don't know why but they immediately went for my butt. The result was 3 stings in the butt and 2 stings in the legs and traumatized forever. Fun trip, fantastic bouldering followed by a swim in a cool lake, dinner and drinks with friends in the nature. Life at its best. Photos by The Man with Pink Tights

Charlie's angels

Last weekend we had a nice tour in Åkers with strong girlz from the capital of Scandinavia and Charlie, and a german paddy. Åkers has some very nice problems with excellent rock quality - a well appreciated fact after working Fingertoppskänsla during the week, which is a fantastic line in Uppsala with very nice moves, but with needles and spikes on the holds making it almost intolerable for a kermaperse like me to climb.

Honeymoon continues

New area keeps on growing. Slopy problem without a name and super nice Elchock where spotmen are handy.
